I suppose we might be what people call a Goldwing Specialist – we only work on Goldwings and we think they’re the best touring bike that money can buy.
We’ve been riding and maintaining Goldwings since 1998. We ride on average around 22,000 miles per year and we’ve owned 1 x 1500 and 6 x 1800’s. All our bikes have been US spec imports. We started out by servicing and maintaining our own bikes but friends and riding pals started asking if we would do theirs too and things started to grow.
Servicing
When we service a Goldwing we treat it as though it were our own. We don’t rush it we take our time and we make sure whatever we’re doing is done properly. We pay attention to detail and we follow the guidelines set out in our Honda Workshop Manual and Honda Service bulletins. We only use genuine Honda parts or Honda specified items. If we say we’ve done a job you can rest assured that it has been done properly.
Touring
We first started touring back in 1974. We used to tour in our car until we got the Goldwing. We’ve been to several states in the US and all over Europe.
Each year we take at least two trips to Europe, sometimes even 3 or 4. We’ve been to Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Slovenia, Germany, so we’ve got plenty of experience. Since 2002 we’ve been using GPS units with preplanned routes taking us door to door, its great.
Accessories
Over the years we’ve fitted just about every accessory you can name. At first it was mainly genuine Honda accessories but now its mainly accessories from companies such as BigBike, Kuryakyn, Add On, etc.
Lately we’ve been fitting several Progressive Suspension upgrades, and a lot of Electrical Connection stuff too.
